Merry Christmas to you. It is yet another year and time to remember and celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Like many of you, I am delighted to be alive to witness another Christmas season. There will be enough drinks and food for almost everyone.
However, I would like to share with you the words that God kept speaking to my heart today. He made me to understand there is a greater lesson to learn beyond that of the birth of Jesus Christ-it is the death of Christ on the cross of Calvary and the fulfilment of His assignment, which in turn brought about the remission of our sins and restoration back to the place fellowship with God.
Have you ever wondered whether humanity would be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ if He did not fulfil His God-given assignment by dying on the cross of Calvary? I personally think that we remember the birth of Jesus Christ only because He fulfilled His assignment on earth by dying on the cross, there by cleansing us from all sins through His blood and restoring us back to fellowship with God.
This means that the world will remember you only if you make an impact in society by fulfilling Gods assignment for your life. DR Myles Munroe of blessed memory said that, you will be remembered for the problems you created or for the ones you solve. Being born into this world is not enough. The most important this is making a lasting impact in the lives of people and in the world by fulfilling Gods assignment for your life.
I pray for you today, that every dream God put inside of you before you were born will find expression in the mighty name of Jesus. I pray that you will fulfil Gods assignment for your life and that your legacy will outlive you in Jesus name.
