DEALING WITH CHALLENGES

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
succeed through challenges

Everyday, people are confronted with challenges that try to break them. We all face challenges at some point in our lives, which may not be because of our attitudes or the choices we make. Challenges are part of our lives and victory will not be that sweet without them. Challenges such as:
  • Loss of a parent
  • Poverty and sickness.
  • Inability to pass exams.
  • Physical disability.
  • Inability to pay fees
  • Loss of a job or Joblessness.
  • Lack of funds to accomplish our dreams.
  • Inability to find a spouse or become pregnant.
  • Inability to pay your bills or cater for your children.

The good news is that, you are not alone. Everybody on earth face one or more challenges in their daily lives-some overcome the challenges while others are conquered by it. As our faces are different, so are our challenges. Many at times, people who overcome their challenges see put their trust God to walk them through every difficulty. They also make wise choices and develop positive attitudes that would make them victorious. The problem is not always the challenges but our choices and attitudes while going through such challenges.
Overcome Challenges

Oprah Winfrey did not allow the colour of her skin to put a limitation on what she could achieve. In the midst of discrimination against black people and especially women, you went on to make for herself a name and fortune in the entertainment industry. The great Neuron surgeon, Dr, Ben Carson went on to become the first neuron-surgeon in the world to record success in the operation involving a Siamese twins joined from the head despite being told by his teacher at a very early age that he could not make it through school or become relevant in life because he was too dull.

Helen Keller who was born a healthy child became physically blind and deaf before her third birthday due to illness. However, she graduated from Radcliffe, became a great writer who went on to author twelve books. Through her life, she inspired many blind people and challenged them to live out their full potential. What seem like an excuse or hindrance to living a fulfilled life became her greatest strength.
You can still become all that God destined you to be regardless of the challenges you are going through. This is not the end of your story. Just hold on and trust God to see you through it all, just as He did with Jabez and Japhthah in the bible. You will succeed.
